OTBOD

Chapel Hill Skate Program utilizes the engaging and dynamic aspects of skateboarding to promote functional skills, emotional regulation, coordination, and self-confidence in children and adolescents. Our evidence-based approach integrates traditional Occupational Therapy techniques with the sensory-rich and motivational aspects of skateboarding into sessions tailored to each client’s goals.

Our OT practitioners incorporate the physical and psychosocial benefits of skateboarding into every session to increase independence in the activities of daily living all while having fun. Whether working with neuro-divergent youth, children with sensory processing disorders, or teens managing anxiety, we meet clients where they are—on the board and beyond. Discover how skateboarding can be a powerful therapeutic tool for meaningful growth.
